It IS necessary to re-collect sample UST3M.
The resampling is to be conducted under my witness.
Confirm your March 6 date and time please.
From: Richard Vogl [mailto:ravgeohydrologic@verizon.net]
Sent: Friday, February 22, 2008 10:06 AM
To: Mike Infurna [EH]
Cc: 'Larry Higinbotham'; 'George Chambers'; dbergin@igeohydrologic.com
Subject: ISE: TOC 172 Schedule for Tank Pit Sample UST3M
Mike:
I have the drilling scheduled to collect the re-sample from the UST pit at UST3M for 8:00 am on Thursday
March 6, 2008.
Please see the attached lab reports for the previous UST samples, and dispenser samples, including the
sample for UST3M-22. As you can see by the laboratory results, all samples were non-detect for all
compounds, including the eleven samples you witnessed being collected. The collection procedure was
identical for sample UST3M-22 (and you were onsite later that same day after it was collected to witness
the grouting of the wells), and I would have no problem as the Professional Geologist of record on this
sampling to testify to that in a court of law.
With this new information, do you think it is still necessary to re-collect sample UST3M?
Please advise.
Sincerely,
Richard Vogl, PG, CHG, CEG
Principal Hydrogeologist
GeoHydrologic Consultants, Inc
5912 Bolsa Avenue, Suite 200
Huntington Beach, CA 92649
Phone (714)898-5727
Fax (714) 898-5701
Cell (714)515-0585
http://www..,geohydrologic.com
2/22/2008
