1 <br /> 9. <br /> o Backhoe Operator - This individual will perform excavation and <br /> removal of the tank(s) . The operator will also backfill the <br /> 1 excavation to the requirements as specified herein. <br /> o Mobile Crane Operator - This individual will operate equipment to <br /> remove the larger storage tank. <br /> ' o LahgreC - This individual will assist in the excavation and removal <br /> of the tank as well as restoration of the excavation. <br /> ' o Engineering Field .au_pervisor - This individual will be responsible <br /> for directing and supervising the tank removal (e.g. excavation, <br /> ' removal and restoration) . <br /> o Health and Safety Officer - This individual will be responsible for <br /> performing the appropriate monitoring activities and maintaining <br /> appropriate personal protective equipment for all individuals. <br /> o TruQk Drivers - Transportation of waste materials to an appropriate <br /> ' disposal facility. <br /> 3.4. 1 Risks Associated with Direct Contact Exposure <br /> Direct contact with the skin could potentially occur through various <br /> activities associated with the work including: <br /> o Contaminated soil removal and handling during excavation by the <br /> backhoe operator and laborers. <br /> ' o Soil sampling operations. <br /> The exposure potential via direct contact is considered low for the <br /> following reasons: <br /> ' o Backhoe operators will use equipment to handle waste materials, <br /> soils, samples, etc. . and will not likely come in direct contact <br /> with waste materials. <br /> o Workers will wear protective clothing to reduce the likelihood of <br /> dermal contact including, but not limited to, boots, gloves and <br /> clothing, as necessary. <br /> o The nature of operations does not involve splashing or uncontrolled <br /> release of waste materials, soils, or ground water. <br /> CSnonleE nv i ronmenta l <br />
