(Shaw) is pleased to present this letter report detailing'field <br /> Lek, <br /> .-� activities and laboratory analytical results conducted on behalf of AT&T.at-their above <br /> mentioned facility(Figure 1). Field activities consisted of removal and disposal of ; <br /> approximately 5 feet of diesel fuel piping and approximately 100 feet of vent.line.piping, <br /> L and the collection and analysis of a soil sample from the pipeline trench. <br /> AT&T's construction management contractor, Roebbelen Construction, subcontracted <br /> Gettler-Ryan, Inc. (Gettler-Ryan)to provide and operate equipment to perform the 1 <br /> pipeline removal activities. Stantec Architecture Inc. (Stantec)was subcontracted to <br /> obtain permits for the piping removal. Field activities outlined in this report were <br /> I L performed in May 2010. <br /> Site Description I <br /> The site is occupied by a four-story building used by AT&T'far office space and for <br /> operation of telecommunication switching equipment. At the northeast corner of the �. <br /> property,at the corner of Hunter Street and Lindsay Street, is a 25,000-gallon. <br /> J underground storage tank(UST) used to supply fuel for an emergency backup generator <br /> ` (Figure 2): AT&T had decided to replace approximately 5 feet of fuel piping leading <br /> # from the UST to an emergency backup generator in the basement and approximately 100 <br /> feet of vent piping located underneath the sidewalk along Lindsay Street,therefore the <br /> existing piping was scheduled to be removed.
