Section 1. INTRODUCTION
The ER-1200 is a permanentely installed system that continuously
monitors vapors aspirated from the underground areas immediately
surrounding the product storage tanks. The system is highly
capable of sensing indications of leaking gasoline, diesel fuel,
and other types of hydrocarbon based materials. When abnormally
high hydrocarbon vapors are sensed, the ER-1200 will set off
visual and audible alarms. A reset button-is provided so that
the user can silence the audible alarm, but the visual alarm can
only be cleared by authorized service personnel.
The panel is equiped with a printer which records on tape the
vapor levels, line pressure, and other conditions consequential
to the proper and continual operation and manitenance of the
system. This permanent record includes alarm conditions, power
interruptions and even the opening and closing of the panel door.
In the event of an alarm condition, the printer will tell the
user exactly what has caused the condition, and direct your
response accordingly.
In the absence of an actual alarm, the ER--1200 will run contin-
uously without need for supervision or attention. It is perhaps
the simplest and most fool proof method of bringing the customer
into compliance with leak detection requirements.
System Specifications Size: 14" x 16" x 8 5/8"
Weight 52 lbs.
Mounting: Permanent Wall Mount
Power: 111/120 VAC
Sensor: Bulk Semiconductor
vapor sensor
Output Formats: 0 - 225 RAW Scalar
00-ff RAW Hex Scalar
0.00 to 1.5% Calculated
concentration.
Sensing Lines: `v" I.D. Polyethylene.
Operating Instructions
Once the ER-1200 is installed and adjusted by the factory
technicians, there is no need for any attention to the system
unless an alarm condition exists. All functions are automatically
performed.
