Morton Paint Company <br /> April 30 , 1487 <br /> the site will he calibrated and conditions for alarm <br /> activation will be tested to assure proper system <br /> operation. <br /> SOIL SAMPLING AND MONITORING TELL INSTALLATION <br /> Soil samples will be obtained from the native soil beneath <br /> �� -- <br /> the tank pit at each of the vapor monitoring points . A truck <br /> mounted hollow stem drill rig will be used to collect the soil <br /> samples . The soil samples will be analyzed using EPA Method °240 <br /> with additional parameters for MEK, PMA, and Acetone. <br /> The hollow stem drill rig will also be used to drill and <br /> install four groundwater monitoring wells . ' The wells will be <br /> drilled to a maximum depth of 60 feet . Sail samples will be <br /> obtained at 5 feet intervals and field inspected using an HNU <br /> photo-ionization detector (PID ) . Two soil sam2les from each soil <br /> boring will be analyzed based on the above men ' rame� ter, <br /> all other soil samples will be frozen for analysis , if <br /> requested . The wells will be constructed of . 020 inch slotted , 2 <br /> inch diameter PVC well screen and hunk casing, clean, washed #2 <br /> Monterey sand will be used as a sand pack. The wells will be <br /> sealed with bentonite and arcuted to the surface with cement. -\J }` 1 <br /> ( See Appendix 3 for typical monitoring well construction ) . The <br /> newly instal' <br /> _urged and sampled by remav-- ng 4-10 <br /> well casi-ns; 701 :mea The water samples will be analyzed <br /> using EPA method 624 with three additional parameters for MER, <br /> PIMA and Acetone .
