Evacuation route maps are posted throughout the facility. Main <br />evacuation routes and the assembly point is listed. The alternate <br />(secondary) evacuation route shown for the Manufacturing Area should <br />only be used if the primary route is obstructed. <br />8.4. All employees must leave the facility and report to the designated <br />assembly area as outlined on the evacuation map. Do not run. Do not <br />linger in entryway or driveways. Stay together in your assigned safe <br />area. <br />8.4.1. If the prevailing winds or other factors make assembly along <br />Carnegie Street south of the large AIT sign impossible or <br />inadvisable, the alternate assembly point will be the East Parking <br />lot. Any change from the primary assembly point will be <br />announced over the internal PA system. <br />8.5. Each Headcount Coordinator must report any missing person to the <br />designated Evacuation Leader. The Evacuation Leader will then report <br />this information to the ERC. <br />8.6. The Evacuation Leader will ensure that the evacuation procedures are <br />followed and that all employees have left the facility. <br />8.6.1. The Administration Manager will act as the Evacuation Leader on <br />Days (1st shift). During 2nd shift the 2nd Shift Production Lead will <br />act as Evacuation Leader. <br />8.7. The ERC will notify employees when it is safe to re-enter the facility. <br />Supervisors may not allow employees to re-enter the facility. <br />8.8. During an evacuation REMEMBER --- <br />Keep calm, think, avoid panic and confusion. <br />Know all exit locations. Be sure you know the safest and quickest way out of <br />all areas. <br />Do not lock office doors when vacating the facility. <br />=> Do not delay evacuation of the facility for any reason. Walk to the nearest <br />safe exit. Report to the assembly point and wait for further instructions <br />Do not assist in fire control. Keep out of the way; stay clear of the facility. <br />Do not interfere with emergency operations. <br />Stay upwind during emergencies involving chemicals and fires. <br />
