-.Advanced Interconnect Technologies <br />Emergency Response Plan <br />Page 25 <br />APPENDIX B (cont.) <br />SPILL CONTROL EQUIPMENT <br />• Spill Kits (Lab Safety Supply No. YB-2591 are provided at several <br />locations within the facility shown on Map 2. This equipment is <br />provided in an effort to reduce the extent of a liquid chemical spill. <br />Included in the kits are various absorbent pads and pillows along with <br />a couple disposal bags for holding contaminated absorbent material. <br />Each kit also contains a pair of goggles and gloves for potential spills <br />in the area. <br />* The absorbent material provided is a high sorption capacity <br />material which will soak up to eight times its weight and can be <br />used for acids, bases, solvents and lubricants. <br />* The sorbent is an inert material that will not deteriorate in harsh <br />chemicals including sulfuric, hydrochloric and hydrofluoric acid. <br />• Broom and Plastic Dust Plan are provided in the Dry Chemical <br />Warehouse to cleanup and reduce the extent of dry chemical spills. If <br />possible, collected spilled materials will be used in the anodization <br />process baths rather than disposed off-site. <br />* The dust pan should enable an employee to adequately cleanup a <br />dry chemical without physical contact with the chemical. <br />
