SITE DESCRIPTION <br /> Date: May,June 2000 <br /> Area affected: Immediate area around borings and probings,work will be within the unoccupied <br /> building or within fenced exterior areas. <br /> Surrounding population: Industrial/Commercial/Residential <br /> Topography: Flat and sloped Weather Condition: Expected warm to hot <br /> Additional information: The working areas will be within the unoccupied building on the site or <br /> within the fenced yard area. One boring will be advanced within the fenced area of the adjacent <br /> property. The building and fencing will be the access controls to the work areas. The exclusion zone <br /> will be the area within 20 feet of the active boring point; the reduction zone (sample preservation <br /> and description) and support zone (phone location and equipment decontamination station) will be <br /> set up on the east side of the building north of the exclusion zone; first aid kits will be kept in the <br /> field vehicle. The site map, Figure 1, shows the areas noted above. <br /> All field personnel will have completed a 40-hour Health and Safety Course as specified in OSHA <br /> Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response Standard [29 CFR 1910.120(e)], and 8-hour <br /> annual refresher courses as necessary. <br />
