Facilities shall be <br /> maintained and operated to minimize the possibility of a fire, explosion, or release of hazardous waste to <br /> air, soil, or surface water which could threaten human health or the environment. Immediately clean up <br /> the spill and manage according to Title 22 hazardous waste regulations. Submit a statement and <br /> supporting documentation explaining how this waste was managed by 11/14/2011. <br /> 404. Observed one 55-gallon drum of hazardous waste liquid acrylic coating not close, and one 55- <br /> gallon drum of used oil north of the workshop not close. All hazardous waste containers shall be closed <br /> at all times except when adding or removing waste. Immediately close these containers and ensure all <br /> hazardous waste containers are closed when not adding or removing waste, in a way that will prevent <br /> release of hazardous waste if the container is lying on its side. <br /> 603. No initial date of accumulation on two 55-gallon drums of paint wastes at satellite accumulation <br /> point. A generator may accumulate as much as 55 gallons of hazardous waste per waste stream at <br /> satellite accumulation point, provided the initial date of waste accumulation is clearly marked and visible <br /> for inspection on each container used for accumulation of hazardous waste. Since it cannot be <br /> determined how long the have been on site, immediately contact a licensed hazardous waste hauler to <br /> dispose of this waste under manifest and submit a copy of the manifest to the EHD by 11/14/2011. <br /> 605. Twelve 5-gallon buckets of waste paint and five 55-gallon drums of hazardous wastes in the main <br /> hazardous waste storage area had no accumulation start date and hazardous property, and the two 55- <br /> gallon drums of used oil and used oil contaminated absorbent had no hazardous property. All <br /> hazardous waste containers shall be marked with the following information: <br /> 1. the words "Hazardous Waste" <br /> 2. name and address of generator <br /> 3. hazardous properties <br /> 4. physical state <br /> 5. composition (contents) <br /> 6. accumulation start date <br /> Immediately label these containers and ensure that all containers are marked with all the required <br /> information. Since it cannot be determined how long the have been on site, immediately contact a <br /> licensed hazardous waste hauler to dispose of this waste under manifest and submit a copy of the <br /> manifest to the EHD by 11/14/2011.
