RESPIRATORY PROGRAM <br /> The following program will be used in connection with the painting areas, which are in use at Lodi Metal <br /> Tech., Inc. It is the policy of this company to provide & maintain a safe and healthful work place for all <br /> employees, including those whose work assignments expose them to airborne contaminants. For the <br /> health and safety of these employees, the company has developed this program for the selection, use & <br /> care of respiratory protection. The company expects all employees to abide by the rules of this program, <br /> which are effective immediately. <br /> PAINT SHED--AIR DRY PAINTS: <br /> Dust particles in surrounding air space also mist from paint. The correct respirator/filter/pre-filter cartridge <br /> to use/Pro tech. Model #1482 with G-104 filter and F-100 pre-filter. <br /> PAINT UNE--WATER BASE BAKE PAINTS <br /> All paints are lead free. Anytime a person is operating a paint-spraying apparatus in touch-up booth, on <br /> the paint line or involved in the clean-up of equipment WHEN spray-particles are in the surrounding air <br /> space, use the correct respirator/Pro-Tech. model #1482 with G-104 filter and F-100 Pre-filter. <br /> RESPIRATORY PROTECTION PROGRAM <br /> Listed below is the type of respirator available for employees use. This respirator has been chosen for our <br /> use based on the type of contaminants which the worker is exposed to, the type of hazardous operation <br /> which the employee will perform, and the comfort and ease of use while maintaining a proper fit. <br /> HSC Corporation: <br /> HSC Model 1482 Respirator. <br /> HSC Corporation: <br /> In conjunction with HSC MODEL 1482 RESPIRATOR - use Filter/Prefilter and cartridge #'s: G104 <br /> & cartridge #'s: G104 & F100. These are NIOSH/MSHA approved units with the approval <br /> #TC-23C-163. <br /> RESPIRATORY PROTECTION PROGRAM <br /> Maintenance & cleaning of respirators will proceed as follows: <br /> 1. Respirators used exclusively by one individual shall be regularly cleaned &disinfected on a daily <br /> basis. <br /> 2. Respirators used by more one individual shall be cleaned & disinfected after each use. <br /> 3. When a respirator is taken off temporarily during regular use, it will be placed on a clean surface <br /> & protected against airborne contaminates. It must not be hung from a nail, hook or similar <br /> projection. <br /> 4. After the daily use of the respirator is complete, & it has been properly cleaned as directed, it <br /> will be stored in a plastic bag & placed in the metal lockers which are provided. <br />
