Lodi Metal Tech L <br /> INSTRUCTIONS FOR SOUTH PAINT AREA: <br /> HANDLING OF WASTE SOLVENTS <br /> LEADMAN: David Lanier <br /> Scott McPherson <br /> Van Holman <br /> THESE MEN ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE FOLLOWING: <br /> 1 . Thinner that was used for cleaning equipment , to be <br /> put in assigned full lid type 55 gal . drum. <br /> 2 . When thinner becomes unusable for paint thinning , put <br /> thinner in assigned drum which has a solid top lid . <br /> Be sure caps are in place. <br /> Notify Bob Lind when waste drum is full . He will notify <br /> waste hauler for pickup. <br /> 3 . The thinner being used is 1-1-1 Trichoroethane. <br /> This thinner classifed by OSHA and D.O.T. as non_ <br /> Llanutable . Avoid overexposure in inhalation . <br /> 4 . Procedure , in case of a major spill . <br /> Call the forklift to get "Emergency Spill Pallet" <br /> This pallet has 2 - 55 gal . drums on it . One drum contains <br /> "Clean—up" 11 which is an absorbent product . The other <br /> drum is for putting the picked up waste spill in it . <br /> Replace lid on drum. <br /> NOTE: This Emergency Spill Pallet , will be on stand by , <br /> to be used for emergency ONLY. <br />
