RECEIVED <br /> JUL 31 20i5 <br /> ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH <br /> PERMIT/SERVICES <br /> Section 6: Training <br /> Each employee, that is active in managing the universal waste aerosol cans, will be trained in the <br /> operating procedures detailed above. The training course outline for universal waste aerosol cans <br /> includes the procedures for:handling; storing;processing; labeling;and emergency response. <br /> Records of employees trained and dates of training will be kept by the Shop Maintenance <br /> Foreman. <br /> A. NEW EMPLOYEES: Prior to job startup, new employees are given an orientation which <br /> includes: information covered in this document;Right-To-Know hazardous materials laws; <br /> National Fire Protection Association labeling and placarding; and Material Safety Data <br /> Sheets. <br /> B. ANNUAL REFRESHER TRAINING: Refresher training is held annually for all <br /> employees. Training is also provided when any new hazard or hazardous material is <br /> introduced into the work environment. <br /> C. SAFE HANDLING OF HAZARDOUS MATERIALS: During training, the use of <br /> Material Safety Data Sheets, safe handling of products and wastes, proper cleanup, <br /> protective clothing, and other safety precautions are discussed. <br /> D. PROPER USE OF ON-SITE EMERGENCY RESPONSE EQUIPMENT AND <br /> SUPPLIES: Employees are trained in the use of fire retardants, extinguishers, absorbents, <br /> clean rags, brooms, shovels and other available equipment. <br /> E. PROCEDURES FOR NOTIFYING AND COORDINATING WITH LOCAL <br /> EMERGENCY RESPONSE AGENCIES: Management personnel are responsible for <br /> coordinating with local emergency response agencies. <br />
