Record Keeping: <br /> All records pertaining to the disposal and/or recycling of hazardous wastes shall be <br /> maintained and available on site for at least three(3)years. For wastes transported on a <br /> Uniform Hazardous Waste Manifest, within 30 days of shipment, submit one copy of the <br /> manifest to the Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC). For Non-RCRA <br /> hazardous wastes, describe these wastes in Item 9b on the manifest prior to submitting to <br /> DTSC. Use U.S. DOT description and California Hazardous Waste Code Number if <br /> listed. Copies of manifests are sent to: DTSC Generator Manifests, P.O. Box 400, <br /> Sacramento, CA 95812-0400. If within 35 days of the waste being transported off-site, <br /> you do not receive a copy of the signed manifest(signed and dated by the designated <br /> facility), then you are to call the transporter and designated facility to determine the status <br /> of receiving the manifest. If you do not receive a signed copy of the manifest within 45 <br /> days of the waste being transported off site, you are to send a Exception Report to the <br /> DTSC. The Exception Report will include: a copy of the manifest; and a cover letter that <br /> explains the efforts you have taken to locate the hazardous wastes. Exception Reports are <br /> sent to: DTSC Report Repository, Generator Information Services Section, P.O. Box 806, <br /> Sacramento, CA 95812-0806, A Biennial Report is due by March 1 of each even- <br /> numbered year and covers the previous year of hazardous waste activity. Copies <br /> manifests, Exception Reports and Biennial Reports must be retained for three years. <br /> Section 3: Prevention of Discharges to the Storm Water System and Sewer S s <br /> 1. All discharges of anything, other than clean water to the storm drains, gutter, parking lots <br /> or side lots are prohibited. Spills or leaks, which may reach storm or sewer water drains, <br /> shall be addressed as detailed below. <br /> 2. Cleaning and de-greasing of engines or related parts will only be done in areas where run <br /> off can be properly treated and legally discharged. <br /> 3. The Shop has no floor drains. Spills will be cleaned up quickly using absorbent materials <br /> available for use in the Shop and Product Storage room <br /> 4. The Wash Bay's oil-water separator will be managed in accordance with procedures <br /> established by the local wastewater treatment facility. <br /> Section 4: Spills and Leaks <br /> 1. Surface flow on this property(outside the covered areas) flows to the on-site storm <br /> drainage ditches, which discharge to drain pipes. The drain pipes at the south end of the <br /> property discharge directly to Duck Creek. The storm drain inlets on the north end of the <br /> property are located in the employee parking area, and discharge to a storm ditch system <br /> that runs east along Loomis Road. <br /> 2. There are no floor drains in the Shop. Spills will be cleaned up quickly using absorbent <br /> materials. Surface flow in the south end of the Shop may flow to the lube pit. The Wash <br /> Bay surface slopes to an inlet at the top of an oil-water separator.
