Tank excavation and resurfacing does nor include disposal of any contaminated material <br /> exposed during tank removal. Ensco Environmental Services (EES) dan provide <br /> transportation and disposal of contaminated material as an additional time and material <br /> contract. <br /> B. The tanks are assumed to be free of al' solids and residual liquids prior to removal or cleaning. <br /> Disposal of any free liquids or so]°.is. whether to a Class I disposal site or an oil recycler,will <br /> be charged at additional cost. <br /> C. All tanks are presumed to be installed in a permeable,loose backfill without cement anchors. <br /> EES will charge additional time and material costs for separating the tank from cement <br /> anchors. <br /> D. The tanks are presumed to be intact, with sufficient structural strength to permit lifting by <br /> crane hooks available on the tank upper surface. If extreme tank deterioration is present, <br /> precluding removal by standard means, additional costs will be charged to compensate for <br /> complicated removal conditions. <br /> E. EES assumes that there are no underground utilities or piping (other-than lines connected <br /> directly to the tank) within the excavation site. Restoration of any encountered lines will be <br /> charged to the customer at time and material rates. <br /> F. EES assumes no ground water control will be required to accomplish tank removal in a safe <br /> and expedient manner. The customer will be charged for shoring or similar support necessary <br /> to secure the excavation and prevent collapse of surrounding soil. <br /> G. Customer shall indicate to EES the property lines and is responsible for accuracy of markers. <br /> H. Customer shall grant free access to the site for all necessary equipment and personnel. The <br /> Customer shall notify any and ral possessors of the project site, whether they be lawfully or <br /> unlawfully in possession, that customer has granted free access to the project site. <br /> I. Customer shall take steps to see that the property is protected inside and out, including all <br /> landscaping, shrubs, and flowers, and EES will not be responsible for damage to lawns, <br /> shrubs, landscapes, walks, sprinkler systems, or underground utilities and installations <br /> caused by movement of earth or equipment. <br /> J. Customer shall be responsible for informing EES of any hazardous materials or conditions <br /> which exist in or around the proposed work area. <br /> K. Customer shall locate for EES and shall assume responsibility for the accuracy of his <br /> representatives as to the locations of all underground utilities and installations. EES will not <br /> be responsible for damage to any such utilities or installations not so located, and any such <br /> damage may, at option, be repaired by and billed, at cost plus 15 percent to Ciistomer. Such <br /> costs are in addition to the fees defined by the proposal of which this is a part. <br />
