The CONTRACTOR is to notify the Owner or his Agent of the <br /> scheduled starting time of the prime coat application so <br /> that, if desired, an inspection of the sandblasted surface <br /> can be made. <br /> B. The CONTRACTOR is to notify the Owner or his Agent of the <br /> time scheduled for the closing of the tank so that an <br /> inspection of the liner can be made. <br /> 6. CLOSING OF THE TANK <br /> A. Where no hatch cover exists , and a manhole has been cut out, <br /> the tank should be sealed as follows; <br /> 1 . The cover plate should overlap the hole at least 2" on <br /> each side and shall be rolled to match the contour of <br /> the tank. The cover plate shall be bolted on 5" centers and <br /> properly sealed to eliminate leakage. <br /> B. Tanks being tested following the liner installation shall be <br /> done at the owners sole expense. <br /> C. The lining application operation shall be conducted with <br /> care not to damage work which is to remain in place, and all <br /> existing work damaged by such operations shall be repaired or <br /> replaced without additional expense to the owner. <br />
