• • <br /> Hazardous Waste Two bays of this building are used to store <br /> Storage Building liquid hazardous wastes such as: spent solvents; <br /> and Area: mineral oil; FCB contaminated oil drained from <br /> electrical equipment; other liquid residue from <br /> the garage maintenance operations; etc. One bay <br /> is used to store new products such as: solvents; <br /> motor oil; transmission oil; anti-freeze; lube <br /> grease; etc. The hazardous waste building is <br /> clearly marked as such. <br /> The Hazardous Waste Storage Area is used to <br /> store solid and semi-solid wastes such as: empty <br /> aerosol cans; empty paint cans; oily rags; <br /> contaminated soil; etc. The Hazardous Waste <br /> Storage Area is clearly marked as such and roped <br /> off for added safety. <br /> Underground Waste- There is one 1,000-gallon underground tank used <br /> Oil Tank: to store waste oil generated from the garage <br /> operations. <br /> Underground Hydraulic- There is one 1,000-gallon underground tank used <br /> Oil Tank: to store hydraulic oil for garage operations. <br /> Underground Fuel Tanks : There are two 5,000-gallon and one 12,000 gallon <br /> underground tanks used to store unleaded fuel <br /> and one 2,000-gallon underground tank used to <br /> store diesel fuel for fleet vehicles. <br /> Oil/Water Separators: There is an oil/water separator in the wash rack <br /> area of the Garage which is used to separate oil <br /> products from the water. The water is <br /> discharged into the sewer system. <br /> There are two large underground oil/water <br /> separators located in the yard which are used to <br /> clean contaminated runoff prior to off-site <br /> discharge. <br /> Fuel-Tanker Truck: There is a 1,900-gallon dual product fuel-tanker <br /> truck (1,270 gallons of unleaded fuel and 680 <br /> gallons of diesel fuel) used for refueling <br /> fleet vehicles. <br /> Mobile Substations: There are a maximum of three mobile transformers <br /> stored at this facility for use at remote <br /> substation sites. They contain from 875 to <br /> 4,195 gallons of oil each. <br /> 2-3 <br />
