2.0 PROJECT SAFETY PERSONNEL <br /> 2.1 Safety Personnel <br /> The Project Consultant is responsible for the preparation of this Health and <br /> Safety Plan, and is to monitor compliance with provisions herein of its personnel, <br /> subcontractors and visitors to the site. The Project Consultant is responsible for <br /> the distribution of this health and safety plan. The Project Managers and/or <br /> Project Consultant are responsible for the compliance of the Health and Safety <br /> Plan. <br /> The Project Consultant is responsible for delivering the plan and any addenda to <br /> all Sub-Contractor's Project Managers' and for advising them on the health and <br /> safety provisions of this plan. Any Sub-Contractor's Project Manager's with the <br /> approval of the Project Consultant, can suspend work or modify work practices <br /> for safety reasons, and to dismiss individuals whose conduct on-site endangers <br /> the health and safety of others. <br /> The Project Managers' are responsible for distributing the plan to all field <br /> personnel under their jurisdiction and to an authorized representative from each <br /> firm contracted to assist with on-site work. The Project Managers' are also <br /> responsible for implementing the provisions of this plan and its addenda. <br /> Implementation will include training of field personnel involved with the project, <br /> and provision for the appropriate safety equipment. <br /> The Project Consultant is responsible for assisting the Project Managers' with on- <br /> site implementations of this Health and Safety Plan. His responsibilities include: <br /> 1) inspecting safety equipment supplies, 2) performing air quality measurements <br /> when required or needed, 3) directing decontamination operations and <br /> emergency response operations, 4) setting up work zone markers and signs if <br /> such zones are specified in the Health and Safety Plan, and 5) reporting all <br /> accidents or incidents to the appropriate authorities. <br /> With the approval of the Project Consultant, any of the Project Managers' have <br /> the authority to suspend work any time when it is determine that the provisions of <br /> this Health and Safety Plan are inadequate to provide a working environment <br /> conducive to worker safety. Further, any individuals whose presence jeopardizes <br /> the health and safety of workers on this program will be escorted from the site. <br /> Health and Safety Plan Page 3 <br />
