A leaking dispenser can lose many gallons of <br /> gasoline and it must be checked regularly. <br /> Ld) TRENCH LINER - This is simply a fiberglass containment box <br /> that would contain any gas leak from any of the product lines or <br /> leaks inside the dispensers from leaking into the ground. <br /> INSTRUCTIONS FOR MAINTENANCE PERSONNEL <br /> When a call comes in from a store concerning one of the <br /> monitoring devices, the Maintenance Department will send one of <br /> its technicians or will call out a contractor to inspect or <br /> correct the problem. <br /> ' If a leaf: has existed so that gasoline has leaked into the <br /> ground, the Maintenance person is to call the MAINTENANCE <br /> DEPARTMENT at 500-924-3273 and report this so the proper agencies <br /> can be notified. <br /> MAINTENANCE OF MONITORING EQUIPMENT <br /> The monitoring system will be checked annually by a trained <br /> person employed or hired by the Customer Company. <br /> LEAK RESPONSE PLAN <br /> In the case a leak is suspected per the inventory records or one <br /> of the monitors indicates a leak, the following procedures will <br /> be performed within 24 hours: <br /> 1 . Check inventory records at site and at the main office <br /> 2. Visually check: all dispensers for leaks <br /> ' 3. Visually check all turbine pit areas for gasoline <br /> 4. Stick and check tank secondary containment cavities for <br /> gasoline or water <br /> 5. Check calibration of all dispenser meters <br /> If fuel is found in the secondary containment of the turbine pit <br /> areas or the secondary tank, the Customer Company will hire a <br /> contractor to determine where the fuel is c=oming from and repair. <br /> If a precision tank test is deemed necessary to determine if a <br /> ' leak exists, the Customer Company will perform this test with its <br /> own personnel or will hire a contractor to do so. The contractors <br /> at its disposal are: <br /> 4 <br />
