Main Street - Escalon, CA
Subject: Spot Soil Density Tests Taken in the Backfill Areas
On September 09, 1998, field density testing operations were performed by Jesse Vera, a representative
of Quality Control Inspection, Inc. at the above referenced project. Testing was at the request and
authorization of Ms. Debra Anderson with Wright Environmental Services, Inc.
In-place field density tests were performed using an ASTM D2922 specification nuclear gauge
Material was previously obtained on September 02, 1998, from the South Main Street Stockpile and
returned to our laboratory for determination of maximum density and optimum moisture content.
In-place field density tests were taken at random locations in the Backfill of the Waste Oil Pit, South
Hydraulic Hoist Pit, Gas Pit and Diesel Pit areas. The test depths were approximately 0 to 12 inches for -
the Waste Oil Pit, 12 to 24 inches for the South Hydraulic Hoist Pit, 36 to 48 inches for the Gas Pit, and
various depths for the Diesel Pit, below existing grade.
