Your assumption that no effort was made to contact YOU regarding these fees. is incorrect. On April 8, 1986 and April 21 , 1986 1 called your office and left messages in an attempt to address your concerns . 1 feel that personal contact is much more effective and less costly to the ta.,payers of Our community. The following is a written response to the questions listed in your April 4, 1986 letter . 1 . Provided is an updated billing statement for the Stockton East Water District. ( See attached ) . What kind of inspection will the Health District make and when will it be made;' (answer: The San Joaquin Local Health District made complete site evaluation inspections after fees were paid by the facility Owner/ operators. Evaluation inspections were completed on all paid State registered facilities between 1--1 .96 and 12-3.1-86. Whet is the inspection intended for? Answer : The evaluation inspection was conducted to .insure that all facilities containing underground storage tanks were informed that they were required to .implement the requirements of the California Underground Stcfrage Tank. Regulations (See attached copy ) .
