THE SUMP SENSOR MUST BE POSITIONED AS CLOSE TO THE <br />CONTAINMENT SUMP OUTER WALL AS POSSIBLE. <br />2. THE SUMP SENSOR MUST BE POSITIONED IN THE LOWEST <br />PART OF THE SUMP. <br />3. THE SUMP SENSOR MUST BE MOUNTED IN A TRUE VERTICAL <br />POSITION TO ENSURE PROPER OPERATION OF THE FLOAT <br />SWITCH CONTAINED INSIDE. <br />4. WHEN INSTALLED, THE SUMP SENSOR MUST REST ON THE <br />BOTTOM OF THE SUMP. <br />5. THE WIRES BETWEEN THE "VEDEER-ROOT" MONITOR AND <br />EACH SUMP SENSOR LOCATION MUST BE OF A TYPE DESIGNED <br />FOR USE IN THE PRESENCE OF DIESEL, AND IN ACCORDANCE <br />WITH MANUFACTURER'S RECOMMENDED INSTALLATION <br />PROCEDURES. WIRES BETWEEN TURBINES AND VARIABLE <br />FREQUENCY CONTROLLER SHALL BE INSTALLED PER "FE <br />PETRO'S" INSTALLATION AND OWNERS MANUAL. THE CONDUIT <br />MUST BE PROPERLY SEALED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE <br />NATIONAL ELECTRICAL CODE (N.E.C. 70) AND THE AUTOMOTIVE <br />AND MARINE SERVICE STATION CODE (NF.P.A. 30) SINCE THEY <br />PASS FROM CLASS I, DIVISION 1 OR DIVISION II AREA INTO A <br />NON -HAZARDOUS AREA. <br />6. FOR PUMP SUMP SENSOR INSTALLATIONS, SELECT A <br />POSITION FOR THE MOUNTING SLEEVE AT THE LOWEST POINT <br />IN THE SUMP, WHICH IS CAPABLE OF DETECTING AN <br />UNAUTHORIZED RELEASE FROM ANY PORTION OF THE <br />UNDERGROUND STORAGE TANK SYSTEM AT THE EARLIEST <br />POSSIBLE OPPORTUNITY. <br />7. EPDXY SEALANT BAGS ARE FOR TWO WIRE NUT <br />CONNECTIONS ONLY.
