Based on the concentrations detected, only TPH-Diesel was detected at a concentration of
possible regulatory concern.
' 4.0 CONCLUSIONS
' The following conclusions are based on the field observations and analytical results
presented in this report.
' • Petroleum hydrocarbon staining and odor were noted in the soil during the in-
place closure of the UST.
' • Groundwater was not encountered during the in-place closure of the UST and
is anticipated to be approximately 65 feet bgs, based on depth to groundwater
from wells formerly at the Subject Property.
• Low concentrations of TPH-G and naphthalene were detected in soil samples
from beneath the UST. Metal concentrations detected were indicative of
' background conditions.
TPH-D was detected at low to moderate concentrations from the soil samples
' collected beneath the UST and stockpile SP-2
' . Based on the type and concentrations of contamination detected, the soil type
encountered, and the depth to groundwater, the potential for contamination of
groundwater from this UST is expected to be extremely low.
' 5.0 RECOMMENDATIONS
PSI recommends no further action associated with this former UST based on the
following factors:
' • Clearing and removal of residual contaminated materials during in-place
closure of the UST constitutes source removal.
' • TPH-D is the only contaminant of concern with only low to moderate
concentrations detected.
' • No significant potential for contamination of groundwater is expected.
1
t
' S
