8.0 PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT PPE <br /> Personal protective equipment selection shall be based on an evaluation of PPE <br /> performance characteristics relative to the potential physical and chemical hazards, <br /> along with requirements and limitations of the site. The selection of level of PPE for <br /> personnel of PSI and its subcontractors is dictated by the probability of encountering <br /> potential hazards. <br /> 8.1 RESPIRATORY PROTECTION <br /> Respiratory protection is not required. <br /> 8.2 OTHER PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT <br /> Level D is defined in Title 8, Sect. 5192 as a work uniform affording minimal protection <br /> that is only used for nuisance contamination. The following protective equipment <br /> identifies Modified Level D protection and may be required to be worn in the work area: <br /> • Cotton clothing, <br /> • Work gloves, <br /> • Steel toed work boots, <br /> • Safety glasses, <br /> • Hearing protection, <br /> • Fluorescent vest, and <br /> • Hard hat. <br /> 9.0 PERSONNEL AND EQUIPMENT DECONTAMINATION <br /> No decontamination of personnel or equipment used during this project is required for <br /> health and safety purposes. <br /> tt <br />
