t <br /> Tanks shall be manufactured to be coupatible with 100% methanol and <br /> 100% ethanol. <br /> Tanks shall be tested and installed with pea gravel or approved <br /> alternate backfill material according to the current installation <br /> instructions (Owens-Corning Fiberglas) publication 3-PE-6304 and <br /> 3-PE-12681) provided with the tank. <br /> 1. Provide concrete ballast pad for tank with #4 rebar 12" o.c. both <br /> ways, centered in slab. Hold dawn straps and turn buckles shall <br /> be tied into slab rebar, sized and spaced as per manufacturer's <br /> recommendations with a minimum 2:1 safety factor. Ballast pad <br /> a. weights shall be sized equal to tank buoyant force less empty <br /> e weight of tank. Pavement and over-burden shall not be used in <br /> ballast calculations. Contractor shall submit ballast pad weight <br /> calculations. <br /> B. Tank, connecting lines and entire installation shall be installed per <br /> NFPA 30 and 31 and shall meet all the requirements of the applicable <br /> City, County, State and Federal authorities having jurisdiction. <br /> C.
