E. Submittals <br /> 1. Shop Drawings: Contractors shall submit six (6) copies of shop <br /> drawings for the tank. Drawings shall include all critical <br /> dimensions and show locations of all fittings and accessories, <br /> i.e. , manways, ladders, hold-down straps, etc. Materials of <br /> construction shall be in accordance with Paragraph D. above. <br /> 2. Catalog Data: contractor shall submit six (6) copies of manufac- <br /> turer's literature with conplete description of all products. <br /> 3. Certification Plate: UL labels for petroleum products shall be <br /> affixed to each tank. <br /> r 4. Installation Instructions: Contractors shall submit six (6) <br /> copies of instructions for the tank installation. <br /> 5. Calibration Charts: Contractors shall submit six (6) copies of <br /> manufacturer's latest calibration charts. <br /> v' 6. Submit domznentation stating that the tank installer is currently <br /> certified by the tank manufacturer and by governmental agencies <br /> having jurisdiction over fuel tank installation to be qualified <br /> for fuel tank installations. <br /> F. Double-Wall Fiberglas Underground Storage Tank <br /> 1. Loading Conditions - Tank shall meet the following design <br /> criteria: <br /> a. External Hydrostatic Pressure: Buried in ground with 7 ft. of <br /> overburden over the top of the tank. The hole fully flooded <br /> and a safety factor of 5:1 against general buckling. <br /> b. Surface Loads: When installed according to manufacturer's <br /> installation instructions tanks will withstand surface H-20 <br /> axle loads (32,000 lbs./axle) . <br /> r <br /> c. Internal Load: Primary tank and annular space shall withstand <br /> pressure test of 5 psi on tanks of 4' through 10' diameters. <br /> Resulting in a 5:1 safety factor, local buckling. <br /> d. Tanks shall be designed to support accessory equipment such as <br /> heating coils, ladders, drop tubes, etc. when installed <br /> according to manufacturer's recommendation and limitations. <br /> 2. Product Storage Requirements <br /> a. All tanks shall be vented. Tanks shall be designed for <br /> operation at atmospheric pressure, except for use with vapor <br /> recovery systems at a pressure or vacuum of approximately 1 <br /> psi. <br /> 15.11-4 <br /> Food Plant Engineering, Inc. <br />
