PRE-INSTALLATION <br /> 4.2.1.3. Dry annular space tank shipped under 4.3.8. For tanks with any dry annular space <br /> vacuum (Section 5.8). configurations,use a contractor supplied <br /> 4.2.1.4. Some Non Petroleum tanks are not field "Annular Space Gauge and Valve"connected <br /> air-testable and require a post installation to the annular space fitting (see Figure 4-2). <br /> water test(Section 5.9). <br /> Figure 4-2 <br /> 4.2.1.5. Assemble the required number of"Tank Test changes in ambient air temperature.Allow for <br /> Manifolds"(Figure 4-1)and"Annular Space pressure fluctuations when tanks are subject to <br /> Gauge and Valves"(Figure 4-2). temperature changes. <br /> 4.3.5.1. Use a contractor supplied"Tank Test 4.6. Prepare Soap Solution. <br /> Manifold"connected to a tank primary 4.6.1. Warm weather soap solution <br /> fitting (see Figure 4-1). <br /> • 5 gallons of water <br /> Figure 4-1 • 8 ounces of household dish washing <br /> Tankrest Manifold detergent <br /> Air Supply Valve Open Air Supply Valve Closed 4.6.2. Anytime bubbles are observed around fitting <br /> Tank Fitting • <br /> plugs,and gaskets;tighten and retest. <br /> 4.3.6. Gauges must have a maximum full-scale 4.9. In the unlikely event a tank leak is discovered, <br /> reading of 15 psig (40 kPa)with 1/2 psig(3 kPa) discontinue the installation and immediately call <br /> or smaller increments. CSI Field Services to schedule a repair. <br /> 4.3.7. Pressure-relief device must be sized and set <br /> to prevent the tank from being pressurized in <br /> excess of the maximum allowed test pressure <br /> (6 psig/41 kPa maximum or 4 psig/28 kPa for <br /> 12'tanks). <br /> r <br /> Do not stand on or approach endcaps, manways, or <br /> fittings while pressurizing tanks. Do not lift or hoist <br /> tank under pressure. These actions could result in <br /> death or serious injury. <br /> 7 <br />
