Emergency shut off switch <br /> This switch is use in case of emergencies,you know where this switch is at all times.Always <br /> know the location of Fire Extinguisher !!1!1 <br /> 2. Notification <br /> In the event of a hazardous material release immediately, notify the appropriate authority. <br /> Depending on the amount and location of the release,the following authority should be <br /> contacted: <br /> 911/Fire Department <br /> Local Environmental Health Department <br /> Underground Storage Tank Contractor <br /> Office of Emergency Services <br /> 3. Large Spills(25 gallons or more) <br /> In the event of a large spill,the following action should be taken: <br /> Emergency shut off switch <br /> Call 911 <br /> Contain the spill to a limited area using absorbent material (do not rinse gasoline spills <br /> with water) <br /> Contact the local environmental health department <br /> 4. Small Spill(under 25 gallons) <br /> INIn the event of a small spill,the following action should be taken: <br /> Contain the spill and secure area using absorbent material <br /> Secure area with safety cones or caution tape <br /> Dispose contaminated absorbent material in an appropriate label container <br /> Small spill immediate reporting is not required if spilled is contained <br /> S. Monitoring <br /> Know where your underground storage tank alarm-monitoring console is located. <br /> Log all alarms as they occur into your daily alarm log. <br /> 6. Maintenance <br /> Make sure spill buckets,dispenser pans,turban sumps,and spill sumps are clean of any <br /> liquid and or debris. <br /> Check all hose and nozzle base filled for any cracks or tears, replace any cracks or tom <br /> hose and nozzles face seals. <br /> 7.
