(b) By December 22, 1998, all underground piping containing motor vehicle fuel and <br /> connected to an existing tank shall be retrofitted with secondary containment unless the <br /> owner or operator demonstrates to the local agency that the piping is constructed of <br /> fiberglass reinforced plastic, cathodically protected steel, or other materials compatible <br /> with stored products and resistant to corrosion. The secondary containment system shall <br /> meet the construction, installation, and monitoring requirements of section 2636. <br /> (c) By December 22, 1998, all automatic line leak detectors for underground pressurized a <br /> piping which is not secondarily contained shall be capable of shutting off the pump <br /> release occurs.
