<br />7_ IF EXISTING UTILITIES ARE DAMAGED AS A RESULT OF THE CONTRACTOR'S WORK, CONTRACTOR
<br />SHALL REPLACE OR REPAIR SAID DAMAGE AT NO COST TO THE OWNER.
<br />8. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL FOLLOW ALL APPLICABLE INDUSTRIAL SAFETY REGULATIONS. THE CITY
<br />OF STOCKTON, ITS' OFFICIALS, THE ARCHITECT, THE ENGINEER, AND THE OWNER SHALL NOT BE
<br />HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR ENFORCING SAFETY REGULATIONS,
<br />9. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL NOTIFY UNDERGROUND SERVICES ALERT, AT 1.800.227.2600,
<br />FORTY-EIGHT (48) HOURS PRIOR TO THE START OF CONSTRUCTION (GOVERNMENT CODE SECTION
<br />421614217).
<br />10. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR NOTIFYING THE APPROPRIATE AGENCY FOR THE
<br />LOCATION OF ALL UNDERGROUND FACILITIES.
<br />11. ADDRESS NUMBERS SHALL BE POSTED ON THE BUILDING SO AS TO BE PLAINLY VISIBLE AND
<br />CLEARLY LEGIBLE FROM THE FRONTAGE STREET, NUMBER SHALL BE A MINIMUM OF 6 INCHES IN
<br />HEIGHT AND SHALL BE DISPLAYED ON A CONTRASTING BACKGROUND.
<br />12. GAS METERS, ELECTRIC UTILITIES ANDIOR ANY PART OF A FIRE PROTECTION WATER SYSTEM
<br />SUBJECT TO VEHICULAR DAMAGE SHALL BE PROVIDED WITH IMPACT PROTECTION. FIRE
<br />EXTINGUISHERS SHALL BE INSTALLED AND MAINTAINED IN SUCH LOCATIONS AS MAY BE
<br />DETERMINED BY THE FIRE MARSHALL. PORTABLE FIRE EXTINGUISHER SHALL HAVE A MINIMUM
<br />RATING OF 2A-10BC. SEE SHEET CA1-1 FOR ACTUAL LOCATION OF FIRE EXTINGUISHER(S).
<br />13. PRIOR TO WORKING IN THE PUBLIC RIGHT-OF-WAY, THE CONTRACTOR SHALL SECURE AN
<br />ENCROACHMENT PERMIT FROM THE CITY OF STOCKTON PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT,
<br />14. ALL PARKING LOT CONDUITS SHALL HAVE A MINIMUM COVER OF 24 INCHES PER NEC. 300-5 (9) Ex.
<br />3_ ALL ELECTRICAL UTILITY INSTALLATIONS SHALL COMPLY WITH ARTICLE 514-5 OF THE NEC.
<br />LATEST EDITION_ ALL UTILITY TRENCH SECTIONS AND BACKFILL SHALL CONFORM TO THE CITY OF
<br />STOCKTON STANDARDS & SPECIFICATIONS AND/OR RECOMMENDATIONS CONTAINED IN THE SOILS
<br />REPORT, WHICH EVER IS MORE STRICT.
<br />15. SAWCUT OF EXISTING PAVEMENT SHALL BE ALONG A NEAT VERTICAL LINE PARALLEL TO THE
<br />UTILITY WHERE POSSIBLE AS DIRECTED BY THE ENGINEER OF WORK. REPLACEMENT PAVEMENT
<br />SECTION SHALL BE IN KIND ANDIOR PER CITY OF STOCKTON STANDARDS AND SPECIFICATIONS.
