For larger spills, cleanup companies <br /> may use skimming and separation devices or sorbents. <br /> After the surface of the water has been cleaned, 3M "Sorbent" <br /> Type 156 sheets will be used to scrub the walls of the basin at the <br /> water line. Oil and oily water will be collected for disposal in <br /> accordance with applicable regulations. <br /> e) Decontaminate all equipment and surfaces. <br /> xi) Obtain general release information and record it using the Scene <br /> ( Management Checklist in Section 8. <br /> xii) Identify appropriate company and agency notification requirements. <br /> 4. Proper Handling of Hazardous Waste <br /> After completion of cleanup, contaminated disposable protective clothing will be <br /> removed by cleanup personnel immediately and placed in an approved waste <br /> container for disposal. Gloves will be removed, and hands will be thoroughly <br /> cleaned with waterless hand cleaner or soap and water and wiped with rags and <br /> paper towels. Rags and other waste material will be placed in approved waste <br /> containers for disposal in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations. <br /> All oil, hazardous materials, and cleanup debris recovered from a spill will be <br /> considered hazardous waste unless it is demonstrated to be non hazardous and <br /> must be disposed of according to applicable state and federal regulations. <br /> Contact the Materials Department, Hazardous Waste Coordinator, or your <br /> Environmental Consultant/Coordinator/Specialist for determination of proper <br /> waste disposal methods. <br /> 5. Follow-up Actions <br /> a. Decontaminate all equipment or other contaminated surfaces. <br /> b.
