EMERGENCY RESPONSE PLAN <br /> UNDERGROUND STORAGE TANK MONITORING PROGRAM <br /> This monitoring program must be kept at the UST location at all times. List the name(s)and title of people responsible for <br /> Stan Olea/Fuel Operations Manager <br /> Heather Moon/Food Safety and Environmental Affairs Manager <br /> 2. If an unauthorized release occurs, how will the hazardous substance be cleaned up? <br /> Note: If a released hazardous substance reaches the environment, enters a storm drain, or increased the fire <br /> explosion hazard, then San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department must be notified immediately. If a <br /> hazardous substance is not cleaned up from secondary containment, then the San Joaquin County Environmental <br /> Health Department must be notified within 24 hours. Call (209)468-3420. <br /> For small spills onsite,personnel will apply the FM186 product to the spill area, and use absorbent material <br /> to clean up released material. In the event of a larger spill,the operator will call 9-1-1 (if necessary),the <br /> store manager and Veeder Root to assist in the emergency. <br /> 3. Describe the proposed method and equipment to be used for cleaning up hazardous spills. <br /> For small spills, apply FM186 product, agitate product and fuel,soak up with absorbent pads. Once fuel is <br /> neutralized place in trash. For larger spills storm drains will be protected with drain mats, socks and <br /> absorbent pads.An environmental clean-up company will be called for clean-up and disposal of large spills. <br /> 4. Describe the proposed availability and location of the spill control equipment. <br /> There are 2 portable bags in the kiosk containing absorbent pads, and socks. The drain mat is also stored in <br /> the kiosk area. This can be reordered through central supply at least 3 times per week. <br /> 5. Describe the proposed method of disposal for the spent spill control equipment ie spent absorbent. <br /> For small spills, neutralized absorbent pads may be placed in with regular trash. For larger spills all <br /> material will be removed by an environmental clean-up company. <br /> 6. Describe the maintenance schedule for the cleanup equipment. <br /> Absorbent pads and socks are inspected weekly and reordered as needed.Any equipment provided by the <br /> emergency response contractor is the responsibility of the contractor. <br />
