This Health and Safety Plan (HSP) is a compilation of health and safety guidelines, policies and/or <br /> performance protocols that, when exercised, are intended to reduce or eliminate the potential for injury <br /> and exposure during the performance of the acth ities at the site described below. Conformance with its <br /> 6. contents does not warrant that injuries or exposin es will not occur. <br /> ` This HSP is not a training tool and does not contain the degree of detail necessary to train an employee <br /> on the appropriate performance, approach and/or equipment-use protocols referenced, herein. Persons <br /> working on this project and referring to this FISP shall meet the minimum training requirements <br /> ` described in Section 2.2. <br /> This HSP has been prepared to specifically support the field activities described herein. The provisions <br /> described herein apply to employees of Geo on Consultants, Inc. and its subcontractors, only. <br /> Representatives of the Client, Client-retained subcontractors, and representatives of state or local <br /> government agencies are expected to observe fie safety rules and requirements established by their <br /> respective organizations, provided they do not donflict with this HSP. However, Geocon will not be <br /> responsible for enforcing the conditions of this BSP on these representatives. <br /> The contents of this HSP are based on factors a d conditions understood prior to the start of the field <br /> ., activities. If those factors and conditions change during the performance of the activities, including the <br /> service scope, or if conditions exist that were not considered in the preparation of this HSP, then such <br /> shall be brought to the immediate attention of the person approving this HSP, and the HSP shall be <br /> modified,accordingly. The date indicated in Secl ion 8.0 of this document indicates the latest version of <br /> this HSP. <br /> 6. <br /> All project personnel, including Caltrans field ispectors will review, and become familiar with the <br /> elements of the Plan prior to site work. A copy f the Plan will be provided to all subcontractors and <br /> ` the Caltrans Resident Engineer(RE), Project(Task Order)Manager, or designee involved with project <br /> activities. <br /> 6. <br /> A pre job conference will be held to delineate ioles and responsibilities, discuss key elements of the <br /> Plan, and coordinate activities. This Plan is a "working document" to be used by affected personnel. <br /> �- The Plan may be modified at any time in accordance with Section 1.4 to adequately address changing <br /> conditions or previously unrecognized exposure iazards which may be encountered during the project. <br /> An updated, current copy of the Plan will be maintained at the project site during and be available to all <br /> affected personnel. <br /> 6. This Plan expires 6 months from the date of CIFI approval unless updated or amended; ref.
