PPE provides acceptable recon <br /> r <br /> recourse, but only when engineering controls fail or cannot adequately eliminate exposure to the <br /> hazard. The use of PPE is intended to provide pi otection for onsite personnel from operational hazards <br /> 6. that cannot be controlled through other safety procedures or work practices.
