No. TBD / Our Job No. 16700 <br />Dear Mr. Backus: <br />We have revised the plans and technical documents for the above-referenced project in accordance with <br />your comment letter regarding our application to install an underground tank storage system received by <br />your office on September 20, 2016. Enclosed are the following documents for your review and approval: <br />1. Three (3) copies of the revised drawings (only two sheets were revised) <br />2. One (1) set of ICC certifications <br />3. Two (2) copies of additional cut sheets <br />4. One (1) copy of the ELD work plan <br />The following outline provides each of your comments in italics exactly as written, along with a narrative <br />response describing how each comment was addressed: <br />1. The installing technician's certifications. At least one person shall have ICC and <br />Manufacturer certifications on site during installation. Certifications needed: ICC UST <br />Installer / Retrofit, ICC Service Technician, NOV Pipe and Penetration Fitting, Bravo Sump <br />and Penetration Fitting, Veeder Root TLS-350, OPW Spill Bucket, Flex-ing Pipe, Hose <br />Master Pipe, Xerxes Tank. <br />Response: The ICC certifications have been included and are attached. <br />2. Explain how communication can be demonstrated throughout the VPH monitored interstitial <br />spaces of the vent line transition sump, under dispenser containment (UDC) sumps, tank top <br />sumps, vacuum-monitored lines. Vacuum or hydrostatic liquid communication must be <br />demonstrated at the far ends of all interstitial spaces. The end of the piping vacuum zone <br />under each UDC must be tested. Each double-walled hydrostatic sump must be tested <br />throughout the sump. Include a description or drawing of any test ports used to test <br />communication. <br />Response: Per our conversation, I have indicated the sheet numbers where details can be <br />found for all termination sumps. For the vent transition sump, refer to Sheet G.0.6.2.
