Scaffolds and Ladders shall <br /> incorporate the use of engineered and approved materials for their purpose. Metal <br /> ladders shall not be used near electrical hazards. Job-made ladders shall not be used. <br /> Scaffold erection, moving or dismantling must be done under the supervision of a <br /> competent person. A competent person is one who is capable of identifying existing and <br /> predictable hazards in the surroundings or working conditions which are unsanitary, <br /> hazardous, or dangerous to employee, and who has authorization to take prompt <br /> corrective measures to eliminate them.
