INSTRUCTIONS FOR MAJOR SPILLS OR RELEASE <br /> Major spills or releases relate to quantities in access of 5 gallons which generally <br /> Result from tanker deliveries or dispensing pump problems. <br /> • Immediately shut down the pumps. <br /> • Immediately telephone the Fire Department(911) <br /> • Immediately telephone the ambulance service is, any person has been injured. <br /> Get everyone out of his or her vehicles. <br /> • Make sure no one is smoking, and vehicle engines remain off. <br /> • Leave the vehicles in place, if possible. If moving vehicles becomes necessary,push <br /> them to a safe location. DO NOT START ENGINES. <br /> • Protect your life and the lives of others by staying a safe distance upwind from the <br /> spill or release, or as directed by emergency response personnel. <br /> • Prevent any access to the site other than by emergency services. <br /> • Prevent any access to the site other than by emergency services. <br /> • Assist emergency personnel as requested. <br /> • As soon as possible, after immediate necessary actions have been completed, call <br /> Jackpot Food Mart Co. Dispatch at(800) 325-0391 to report the incident. <br /> • Dispatch will contact the Time Oil Co. Environmental Services Department who in <br /> turn will coordinate contacting any government agencies. <br /> Ensure that absorbent materials used by the emergency responders (e.g. Fire <br /> Department personnel) to contain the spill or release are collected, stored, and <br /> disposed of carefully and correctly.
