INSTRUCTIONS FOR SMALL SPILLS OR RELEASES <br /> Small spills or releases are 5 gallons or less and generally result from minor pump problems. <br /> • Get everyone out of the vehicle. <br /> Make sure no one is smoking, and vehicle engines remain off. <br /> Leave the vehicle in place, if possible. If moving vehicles becomes necessary,push <br /> them to a safe location. DO NOT START ENGINES. <br /> If fuel has entered the vehicle, make sure it is properly ventilated before it is driven <br /> away. <br /> Mark off the area to prevent traffic. <br /> Bring spill response materials to the spill area. <br /> • Surround or berm the spill with sorbent materials, and then spread the materials <br /> towards the center of the spill. Use sufficient sorbent materials to absorb the spill. <br /> • Contact Jackpot Food Mart Co. Dispatch at(800) 325-0391. <br /> After the material absorbs the spill, carefully transfer the used absorbent into the <br /> container. <br /> Seal the container and place it in a spot outside, out of the sun, and away from traffic. <br /> It will be picked up by the authorized person(s). <br /> After a spill, the used spill container should be replaced as soon as possible. <br /> Record all details on the necessary incident report forms. <br /> HAZARD COMMUNICATION—6/01 12 <br /> &/safety/healtb&safety/ha Mdoc <br />
