CSFX-50 Dispenser Pan Fire Extinguisher
Description
The CSFX-50 Fire Extinguisher is designed for use in shallow dispenser pans (use the CSFX-100 Fire
Extinguisher in deep gasoline dispenser containment sumps. It can be mounted at any available location on the
sump's U-Channel using the enclosed U-Channel bracket. Mount the fire extinguisher so that the fuse is located
at least 6" above the bottom of the sump. If a discriminating sensor is being used, make sure that the fuse is
located above the top of the sensor— this will prevent water accumulation covering the fuse. Be sure to tighten
the handle of the bracket so that the fire extinguisher is firmly mounted to the U-Channel. The fire extinguisher is
"ready-to-go"out of the box. The glass fuse is rated to melt at 155 F.
Recommended Inspection Procedures
Beaudreau Electric recommends that the CSFX-50 Fire Extinguisher be visually inspected at least once annually.
Inspection must include checking the pressure gauge to make sure it is in the green zone above 125 PSI. A visual
inspection of the fire extinguisher head is also recommended. Any obstructions should be cleared from around
the thermal fuse. Contact Beaudreau Customer Service at 1-800-739-4435 if the unit is in need of recharging.
Fire Fighting Agents
The CSFX-50 uses a combination of inert gas and AFFF (aqueous film forming foam) to extinguish fires and
prevent reiginition. The AFFF agent used in the CSFX-50 is non-corrosive, biodegradable and does not contain
any materials considered hazardous (per SARA/CERCLA).
