Employees will be familiar with the kinds of emergency situations which will warrant
immediate evacuation of the premises. Circumstances include:
a. Any gasoline or other type of fire.
b. Any spill, fuel leak, or vapor leak that has the potential for igniting or exploding.
c. ANNOUNCED AND UNANNOUNCED TIMED TESTS AND TRAINING PROCEDURES
A schedule of periodic announced and unannounced timed tests and training procedures will be
implemented at the facility to demonstrate the adequate capability of company personnel to
respond to site situations and incidents at the dispenser islands. A log of the tests will be kept and
made available to the Fuel Safety Division for review upon request. The log will include
information of the date of test, type of simulated incident, and the response time of personnel to
implement emergency procedures.
J. EMPLOYEE TRAINING RECORDS
The facility On-Scene Emergency Coordinator will be responsible for documenting and retaining
"training" schedules that indicate each facility employee has completed initial and/or refresher
training in the provisions of this Plan. These documented records will be retained at the facility
for at least three years from the date an employee last worked at the facility. Subject training
records can be in any form, but must be made available to Governmental Agency personnel upon
request. The retention period (three years) will not apply if the facility is permanently closed.
II. SPILL PREVENTION
A. MONITORING EQUIPMENT
Secondarily contained storage tanks and lines at this facility are monitored by a continuous
electronic leak detection system that consists of alarm panels, sensors, and associated electronics.
Liquid sensors are installed in the annular space of each double wall tank and product line piping
sump. Whenever a sensor detects the presence of a liquid, there is both a visual and audible
alarm at the control panel. In addition, if the product piping monitoring system fails or is
disconnected, the pumping system will shut down.
10199.002.dm[EIMM/dm]
