FUEL DELIVERY PROCEDURES <br /> To alleviate a potential spill of products during a delivery, the following procedures are taken <br /> from the Driver's Manual and are implemented by the delivery driver: <br /> Tank Fueling Procedures -Unloading at Service Stations <br /> Product delivery can at all times be made safely by following the standard procedures listed here: <br /> a. No matter where the delivery is to be made, the driver must first check the bill of lading and <br /> truck to determine the correctness of the load. <br /> b. The driver should obtain a route map and any special delivery instructions. <br /> c. The tight-fill product delivery elbow nozzle of system will be provided. If you encounter a <br /> situation where you do not have proper fittings or where systems are under construction, and <br /> the delivery would result in the authorized release of product, do not make the delivery. <br /> Contact your supervisor for further instructions. <br /> d. On arrival at any delivery location,the driver must: <br /> • Observe the traffic patterns and verify conditions for a safe delivery exists at the tank fill <br /> location. <br /> • Spot the truck at the tank fills. <br /> • Set the parking brake. <br /> • Shut down the engine and all electrical equipment(headlights,radio,etc.) <br /> • Place transmission in lowest(or parking)gear. <br /> • Block wheels and chock blocks. <br /> • Double-check the truck load and sales delivery ticket to be sure of the correct location <br /> and the proper product. Note that the owner or authorized representative of the facility <br /> must be present at all times during delivery. <br /> • Check fill connection for products tags. If not clearly identified, do not deliver--call <br /> supervisor for instructions. <br /> • Check tank containment buckets at fill for presence of liquid. If present, drain liquid <br /> using the integral plunger in the bucket. <br /> • Make inspection around truck for trapped parked cars or potential for traffic to encroach <br /> the filling area. <br /> • Set out traffic cones on all deliveries to protect fitting and hoses from damage by traffic <br /> in the area. <br /> • Cover any drains in the immediate area. <br /> 10199.002.dm[HMAVdm] <br />
