Horizontal Mounting Procedure Preparation <br /> Horizontal Mounting Procedure <br /> This product is to be installed in systems operating near locations <br /> where highly combustible fuels or vapors may be present. <br /> Sparks and/or embers from power tools, burning cigarettes or pipes <br /> can ignite fuels and their vapors. <br /> _ 1. Do not use electric power tools in areas where flammable vapors <br /> may be present. <br /> 2. Do not smoke in areas where flammable vapors may be present. <br /> To mown the piping sump sensor to horizontal piping or conduit: <br /> 1. Attach a mounting strip to the top of the sensor using the 2 PlastiteTM screws pro- <br /> vided. <br /> 2. If required,attach the second mounting strip to the first using two 1/4-20 x 1/2- <br /> inch screws and speed nuts. <br /> 3. Wrap the mounting strip around the conduit as shown(Figure 1 on page 8) <br /> ensuring that the sensor rests on the bottom of the sump. Secure it using a 1/4-20 x <br /> 1/2-inch screw and speed nut. <br /> 4. If necessary,carefully bend the mounting strip so that the sensor is in a true <br /> vertical position. Check the sensor to confirm that it is vertical and that it rests on <br /> the bottom of the sump. <br /> 5. Install the cord grip into the junction box. <br /> 6. Feed the sensor cable through the cord grip on the junction box. <br /> 7. Tighten the cord grip nut to ensure a water-tight seat at the cable entry. <br /> 7 <br />
