Date : <br /> Manufacturer training : <br /> OVERALL INSPECTION NOTES AND COMMENTS <br /> NOTES <br /> On site to verify proper measurements of the drop tubes and flappers for the tanks and to verify communication in the brine <br /> filled sumps and UDCs . <br /> -The worksheet and calculations were not on site for the drop tubes and flappers . The measurements could not be verified <br /> without the worksheet . The technician on site , Byron Molina stated that the measurements had been done by someone else <br /> who left marks on the piping indicating where to cut, but that he had not done the calculations himself and did not currently <br /> have access to the worksheet or calculations . <br /> -Verifed brine communication in the STP sumps , the fill sumps , and the vent sump. <br /> -Attempted to verify communication in the UDC sumps . When the plug was removed from the first UDC , no liquid was <br /> released . The brine level was found to be too low. According to Byron Molina , the UDCs were filled with brine to cover all <br /> penetrations , but not to monitor the full area of the UDCs . Additional brine is needed and the brine reservoirs in the UDCs may <br /> need to be raised . Communication could not be verified in the UDCs <br /> "Additional inspections are needed . See the permit approval letter dated December 15 , 2016 for a complete list of <br /> inspections required . All appointments must be scheduled 48 hours in advance . <br /> The person in charge is responsible for ensuring that the above mentioned facility is in compliance with all applicable sections of the California Health and <br /> Safety Code.
