Workers experiencing <br />moved into the cold zone for <br />down. <br />and symptoms of excessive heat <br />excessive heat stress shall be <br />liquid replenishment and cool <br />2.3 Sampling Team Personnel Responsibilities <br />Become familiar with and follow the requirements of this <br />site safety plan and follow instructions given by the SSO. <br />Notify the SSO of any injury. signs of symptoms of <br />overexposure to hazardous substances, any unsafe acts or <br />conditions occurring at the site. <br />Collect samples as instructed using proper equipment and <br />safe procedures to minimize exposure to hazardous materials <br />or conditions. <br />3.0 JOB HAZARD ANALYSIS <br />The field tasks associated with this tank removal are discussed <br />below: <br />Pre -work site visit and verification of UST location. <br />UST excavation preparation, excavation, removal, <br />transportation and disposal. <br />Examination of excavation and collection of soil samples. <br />Back -fill of excavation. <br />The work activities outlined above present potential physical and <br />chemical hazards to the workers involved. In all instances, <br />precautionary measures will be implemented to minimize the risk. <br />It is not expected that any workers or nearby residents shall be <br />adversely affected by the proposed work. Strict environmental <br />monitoring will be conducted at and around the work area. <br />Adherence of this SSP will minimize the risk to persons <br />conducting work and also to those not associated with the field <br />work. This assessment will be revised periodical during the site <br />investigation as more detailed information becomes available. <br />The following chemicals are suspect of being present at the site: <br />total petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline (TPHg) and the gasoline <br />constituents benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene and total xylenes <br />(BTEX), other gasoline constituents methyl tertiary butyl ether <br />(MTBE) also, total petroleum hydrocarbons as diesel (TPH&g). <br />Care will be taken to minimize dermal contact with waste <br />materials. <br />
