(113947) Food facilities that prepare, handle or serve non-prepackaged potentially hazardous food, shall have an <br />employee who has passed an approved food safety certification examination. (113947-113947.1) Any food handler hired after June 1, <br />2011 shall obtain a Food Handler Card within 30 days (113948). <br />#6 Handwashing Facilities Supplied and Accessible <br />OBSERVATIONS: Hand sink is blocked with stool and floor fan. Never block it. Sink shall be fully accessible at all times for <br />proper hand washing. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: Handwashing soap and towels or drying device shall be provided in dispensers dispensers shall be <br />maintained in good repair. (113953.2) Adequate facilities shall be provided for hand washing, food preparation and the washing of <br />utensils and equipment. (113953, 113953.1, 114067(f)) <br />#29 Toxic Substances Properly Identified/Stored/Used <br />OBSERVATIONS: Storing chemicals above utensils. They shall be stored underneath food or utensils. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: All poisonous substances, detergents, bleaches, and cleaning compounds shall be stored separate from food, <br />utensils, packing material and food-contact surfaces. (114254, 114254.1, 114254.2) <br />#33 Nonfood Contact Surfaces Clean <br />OBSERVATIONS: Several surfaces are very unsanitary and shall be cleaned daily. Clean the following: <br />Exterior and interior of freezers and coolers (kitchen and customer areas) <br />Exterior and interior of cabinets and shelves (kitchen and customer areas) <br />Black food carts (all of them) <br />All of the doors (especially rest room door) <br />Hood filters and walls behind it <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: All nonfood contact surfaces of utensils and equipment shall be clean. (114115 (c)) <br />#42 Disposal of Garbage and Refuse <br />OBSERVATIONS: There is an excess number of empty boxes and trash at the old seating area. Trash shall be removed <br />from facility, daily. <br />CALCODE DESCRIPTION: All food waste and rubbish shall be kept in leak proof and rodent proof containers. Containers shall be <br />covered at all times. All waste must be removed and disposed of as frequently as necessary to prevent a nuisance. The exterior <br />premises of each food facility shall be kept clean and free of litter and rubbish.
