The following items are <br />required to be inspected at least daily: <br />1. overfill/spill control equipment; <br />2. aboveground portions of the tank system to detect corrosion or releases of water; <br />3. data gathered from monitoring and leak -detection equipment, <br />4. outside areas of the tank system including secondary containment to detect erosion or signs of releases of <br />hazardous waste, <br />5. for uncovered tanks, the level of waste in the tank. <br />Immediately begin required inspections of the hazardous waste tank system, and document the items inspected. <br />Submit a copy of the inspection log for the next 30 days to the EHD. <br />This is a Class II violation. <br />601 <br />CCR 66262.34(a) Stored hazardous waste on site longer than 90 days without a permit or authorization. <br />A black 55 gallon drum of used absorbent (oily solids) on the south side of the facility had a start accumulation date of <br />6-13-14 . Facilities who generate more than 1000 kg of hazardous waste per month may store waste on site up to 90 <br />days. Immediately contact a licensed hazardous waste hauler to dispose of this waste under manifest and submit a <br />copy of the manifest to the EHD. <br />This is a Class II violation. <br />605 <br />CCR 66262.34(f) Failed to completely label containers or tanks of hazardous waste. <br />A blue 30 gallon drum of used absorbent (oily debris) and metal brake shavings on the north west side of the facility <br />did not have a hazardous waste label . All hazardous waste containers shall be marked with the following information: <br />- the words "Hazardous Waste" <br />- name and address of generator <br />- hazardous properties <br />- physical state <br />- composition (contents) <br />- accumulation start date <br />Immediately label these containers and ensure that all containers are marked with all the required information.
