Response - City has contracted with `Afford-A-Test" of Thornton to conduct the required <br /> testing. Testing is scheduled for this week and the results will be forwarded as soon as <br /> possible, however, they may not be available by June 91 th as requested. <br /> Item #4 - Dispose of liquid in piping sumps and submit verification by June 11th. <br /> Response - City had Norcal Oil, Inc. remove the liquid on June 5h. If this letter is not <br /> sufficient verification, additional documentation can be forwarded to you. <br /> Items #5 - Perform tank integrity test with tank in operating condition by June 4th and <br /> submit results by June 11 th. Response - "Afford-A-Test"has been retained to perform <br /> test this week. Results will be forwarded as soon as possible, however, results may not <br /> be available by June 11th. <br /> Item # 6 - Maintain monitoring log for each UST and submit copy of log for the month of <br /> May 1998 by June 11th. Response - Monitoring had been occurring on a regular basis, <br /> however, no log had been maintained. Starting at the end of May, a weekly log was <br /> started. A copy of this log for each UST is attached. <br /> Item #7 - Submit by June 4" verification that the cathodic protection system was tested. <br /> Response - Testing was conducted on June 5h. Results will be forwarded as soon as <br /> they are available. <br /> Item #8 - Upgrade overfill protection to comply with current regulations. Submit <br /> application to upgrade before work is started. Response - the manufacturer will be <br /> contacted to determine if modification of the existing overfill protection can be made in <br /> order to bring it into compliance with current regulations. <br /> The report for 1331 S. Ham Lane listed seven (7) items. The following responses are <br /> provided to those seven items: <br /> Item #1 - Submit by June 5th an application to install a probe in the piping sump, restore <br /> the power to the level alarm panel and replace the cap on the riser used to contain the <br /> level probe. By June 12th, submit verification to this office that the monitoring equipment <br /> has been checked. Response - Shields-Harper performed inspection on June 5h to <br /> determine the work needed to comply. Also, placed call to Eric Travena to obtain copy <br /> of required application. In response, Mr. Travena left a message saying he would mail <br /> the application. The work required will be completed as soon as possible. <br /> Item #2 - Test leak detection monitoring equipment by June 5" and submit verification <br /> by June 12th.
