We appreciate your
efforts in working with us to complete this project.
Per our conversation, we would like to gather all the current data current soil sampling and
provide you with this information in order to discuss the project and choose the best
method to move forward. We want to do whatever we can to comply with your
requirements to protect our ground water while at the same time evaluate the necessity to
remediate areas which may not pose a threat to the environment.
The following summarizes the site information to date:
1 . THE UST REMOVAL SAMPLES.
On September 25, one double wall 20,000 gallon UST was removed along with the
5-gallon overspill containment. Upon removal of the tank, Advanced GeoEnvironmental
obtained three soil samples from approximately 14 feet below ground surface. The
McCampbell Analytical Laboratory report shows each of these samples (T1,T2, T3) to be
Non-Detect for each analysis performed (TPHd and BTEX).
2. TANK REMOVAL STOCKPILED SOIL.
During the removal of the tank, approximately 130 tons of soil was stockpiled adjacent to
the excavation and separated into two separate piles. Four stockpile samples were
obtained from each stockpile (SP 1-8). None of these samples showed any Benzene and
only one sample showed actionable levels of TPHd. We approximate this sample to
represent 10 - 15 tons of soil.
Due to the apparent low levels of contamination, this soil was backfilled and compacted
into the former tank excavation.
