LPhase D Environmental Site Assessment Report-Executive Summary
1025 East Main Street,Stockton,San Joaquin County,California
L Page 4
3.4 NUMBERS OF SAMPLES AND LABORATORY ANALYSES
LThe soil and groundwater samples were shipped under chain-of-custody procedures at the end of each
day via courier to McCampbell Analytical, Inc., a California-certified laboratory (DHS #1644) located in
Pittsburg, California for analysis. Laboratory analytical methods are summarized in Table 2, below.
L3.4.1 Former Rail Spurs,Former WPRR Tracks, and Borings
Two surface soil samples from the former WPRR tracks and two subsurface soil samples from Borings 3
and 4 were collected from the eastern portion of the Site. Four surface and four subsurface soil samples
were collected at the former rail spurs located on the western portion of the Site. All of the surface and
subsurface samples were analyzed for total petroleum hydrocarbons quantified as gasoline (TPH-G),
diesel (TPH-D), and motor oil (TPH-MO) by EPA Method 8015C; and for lead and arsenic by EPA
Method 6020A. Of the six subsurface samples collected, four subsurface samples were analyzed for
benzene, toluene, ethyl benzene, and total xylenes(BTEX)by EPA Method 826013.
L3.4.2 Depot Building Perimeter
Six surface and four subsurface soil samples collected around the perimeter of the train depot were
L analyzed for organochlorine pesticides by EPA Method 8081B and for lead by EPA Method 6020A.
- 3.4.3 Groundwater Samples
I
L The four groundwater samples were analyzed for SVOCs by EPA Method 8270D; for VOCs by EPA
Method 826013; and for TPH-G, -D,and-MO by EPA Method 8015C.
L
V
L
i.
L
L
L
L
n
CONDO
L
