BROADWAY, STOCKTON
Thank you for submitting the Third-Quarter 1996 Quarterly Monitoring Report for the former
PureGro/Brea Ag facility at 1905 N. Broadway in Stockton. In reviewing the report, I found a
number of errors in the data tabulation tables, as follows:
. Neither Table 3 nor Table 4 contains the results from the March 1996 sampling event.
. In Table 3, sample #9239 (MW-10) should show a result of ND, not 10 mg/1.
. In Table 4, sample #9231 (MW-1) should show "ND (1.0)" for both 2,4-DB and dichloroprop.
. In Table 4, sample #9232 (MW-2) should show "ND (1.0)" for dichloroprop.
. In Table 4, sample #9234 (MW-5) should read "ND (1.0)" for 2,4-DB and "2.0" for dichloroprop.
. In Table 4, sample #9235 (MW-6) should show "ND (1.0)" for dinoseb, 2,4-D, 2,4-DB, and
dichloroprop.
Please correct the above mistakes, and submit new versions of Tables 3 and 4 by 1 March.
As you may recall, I took split samples during the June 1996 sampling event. The splits showed a
high degree of variability, and additional split samples are needed to determine why the variability
exists. The semi-annual monitoring is to take place next month, in March. Please let me know
your timeline for sample collection, as I will collect splits at this time.
If you have any questions, I can be reached at (916) 255-3104.
WENDY WYELS
Agricultural Unit
cc: Mr. John Rapp, Sierra Pacific Groundwater Consultants, El Dorado Hills
Mr. Jan Wagoner, Unocal, West Sacramento
Ms. Nancy Bishop, Western Farm Service, Lafayette
Mr. Mike Inform, San Joaquin County Environmental Health, Stockton
