Violations that are classified as"MAJOR"pose an immediate threat to public health <br /> and have the potential to cause foodborne illness.All major violations must be corrected immediately.Non-compliance may warrant immediate closure of <br /> the food facility. <br /> #7 Hot and Cold Holding Temperatures MAJOR <br /> OBSERVATIONS:MAJOR:The lowfat milk is 62F and the skim milk is 51 F at the customer self service counter. Maintain <br /> cold food at 41 F or below. Repeat violation.Time as a public health control may be used (instead of maintaining at 41 F or <br /> below, but a time and temperature log shall be utilized). <br /> MINOR:There are some other food items that are above 41 F (see temperatures at inspection notes section). Maintain cold <br /> food at 41 F or below. Correct today. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Potentially hazardous foods shall be held at or below 41/45°F or at or above 135°F. One person <br /> shall obtain the 5 year Food Safety Certificate within 60 days. Once the exam is taken and passed and the certificate is <br /> received,fax or e-mail a copy of the certificate to Kadeanne Linhares(klinhares@sjgov.org). <br /> A few employees working today lack the 3 year Food Handler Card.Any employee who lacks the 3 year Food Handler Card <br /> shall obtain it within 30 days. Maintain copies of all employee's Food Handler Cards on site and accessible. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:All food employees shall have adequate knowledge of and be trained in food safety as it relates to their <br /> assigned duties. (113947)Food facilities that prepare,handle or serve non-prepackaged potentially hazardous food,shall have an <br /> employee who has passed an approved food safety certification examination. (113947-113947.1)Any food handler hired after June 1, <br /> 2011 shall obtain a Food Handler Card within 30 days(113948). <br /> #6 Handwashing Facilities Supplied and Accessible <br /> OBSERVATIONS:The paper towel dispensers at the back of the house hand sink and the front of the house hand sinks are <br /> not dispensing paper towels.The battery was replaced at the front of the house hand sink and was returned to proper <br /> function. Repair the back of the house paper towel dispenser today. <br /> The paper towel dispenser at the men's restroom hand sink is empty. Refill dispenser today. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Handwashing soap and towels or drying device shall be provided in dispensers dispensers shall be <br /> maintained in good repair.
